Reigning Premier Rally champion Robert Swann driving his Subaru Impreza WRC along with Darren Garrod were the fastest on all six stages, enabling them to claim first place on the 2014 SA Gas Premier Rally by a margin of 1 min 13 sec.  Second place again went to the Subaru Impreza of Aaron Newby and Rob Fagg just one second ahead of event sponsors Karl & Guy Simmons in their spectacular SA Gas Subaru Impreza WRC.

Andrew Fenwick/ Andrew Roughead were 4th in the Ford Focus WRC followed by Gary Wayne / Neil Bloor in 5th, Dave Welch / Stuart Proctor in 6th and Jon and Jane Fox in 7th.  This result allowed Dave Welch and Stuart Proctor to win the coveted Dukeries MC Rally Championship in 2014 which they missed out on by just 1 point in 2013.

The winner of Class 4 was Phil and Mick Gallagher (Ford Escort) whilst Class 3 was won by Gavin Ruler / Peter Grant (Ford Escort Mk2) after an event long contest with Mark Mazzitelli / Pete Butler also in a Ford Escort Mk2 which was only settled when the later crew retired on the last stage.   Nigel Booley/ Dave Catto had a very result good in the Ford Escort RS to win Class 2 whilst Adam and Ian Tomlinson were the winners of Class 1 in a 1400cc Ford Puma.

The  S A Gas Premier Historic Rallywas won by  Paul Street and Ian Jones (Ford Escort Mk2) who were 59 secs ahead of Chris Skill and Glen Hall (1600 Escort Sport) who won class H1.  The early leaders of the Historic Rally were the number one seeds Matthew Robinson and  Sam Collis but they retired their Escort Mk2 with a wheel bearing problem on stage 5.

The 2014 SA Gas Premier Rally again used a compact route within Sherwood Pines without any public road mileage and despite the atrocious weather conditions right up to the start of the event, received praise from both competitors and spectators. One final point of note was that the 25 Dukeries MC entries on the event made up some 44% of the 57 starters.
The 2015 event will be on Sunday 22nd November
